.Discussion...
Hot and mostly dry conditions will continue through Thursday with
only isolated mountain thunderstorms expected. Monsoon moisture
will return for Friday and continue into early next week while a
cold front moves through the region. This will bring cooler and
wetter weather for much of the district Friday through Wednesday
with a slight cool down for Friday leading into a more significant
cool down for the weekend into early next week. Widespread wetting
rains will be possible in and near the mountains with an elevated
risk of flash flooding, especially for burn scars and urban areas.
Afternoon dispersions will rise into the good to excellent category
over most of the district on Thursday and Friday, though dispersions
will be lower on Friday across the mountains due to more widespread
thunderstorm activity.
