The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Imperial County in southeastern California...

* Until 415 PM PDT.

* At 344 PM PDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mt. Signal,
  or 9 miles southwest of El Centro, moving north at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mt. Signal, El Centro Naval Airfield, Dixieland, and Seeley.

This includes the following highways...
CA Interstate 8 between mile markers 25 and 35.
CA Route 98 between mile markers 18 and 27.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
