.DISCUSSION...
Numerous thunderstorms around the wildfire site this afternoon and
evening will create very erratic wind directions with the potential
for frequent higher wind gusts. Gusts in excess of 30 mph are likely
late this afternoon and early evening. In general, a west wind will
tend to become more northeasterly assuming the ignition is lower than
the ridgetop and drainage component near the several valleys has a
stronger influence. Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible
Thursday though with lower probabilities, but still incorporating erratic,
gusty winds.
