.DISCUSSION...
Hot and very dry conditions will prevail through the weekend with
afternoon temperatures reaching up to around 110 degrees. Minimum
afternoon humidity values will drop to around 2-7% both Saturday
and Sunday, with poor overnight recovery to around 20-30%. Winds
will tend to follow typical diurnal patterns with upriver
southerly winds favored most of the time. Although the terrain
would suggest a shift to a light northerly downriver wind during
the overnight and early morning hours, nearby RAWS and other
weather stations have shown a persistent light southerly wind
during the overnight hours. Afternoon sustained winds up to around
10 mph with gusts as high as 20-25 mph may create periods of
elevated fire weather conditions when combined with the hot and
dry conditions.
