.DISCUSSION...
Temperatures and thunderstorm chances will once again trend
upward this week. Thunderstorm chances today and tomorrow will
increase primarily across southern Gila County during the
afternoon and evening hours. Lightning and gusty, erratic outflow
winds will be the primary concerns with any thunderstorms.
Chances for seeing outflow wind gusts in excess of 35 mph are
around 30-50% for today and tomorrow, including the Globe
area. Outflow winds are the primary threat to the Billy Helibase,
with little, if any, threat for hail today. Though, small hail
will be possible with any strong thunderstorms, which primarily
look possible mainly east of Globe near Whiteriver. Winds will
otherwise favor diurnal upslope/downvalley patterns with afternoon
gusts in the 15-20 mph range. Min RHs will be around 15-25% over
the next couple of days. Overnight Max RHs will generally be
around 25-40% for most areas with higher values across southern
Gila County by Wednesday.
