Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
151 PM MST Fri Aug 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm chances will resume over eastern districts this
evening with distinct drying through the weekend. Storms this
evening will be capable of producing gusty and erratic outflow
winds. Temperatures will cool closer to the seasonal normal
through this weekend. With better moisture profiles, afternoon
humidity levels should be near a 20-30% range in eastern
districts Saturday, but fall closer to 15-25% Sunday matching the
persistence of western districts. Overnight recovery will vary
widely across the area from 30% to 80%.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
