Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
1258 AM MST Fri Oct 4 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions and seasonally extreme heat will continue through
the end of the week and into the weekend. Afternoon high
temperatures will reach up to 106-112 degrees across the lower
deserts. This heat will in turn lead to low RH values in the
afternoons falling into the 5-15% range for all districts.
Overnight recoveries will only be to around 20-35% for most areas.
Winds will tend to follow typical diurnal upslope/downslope
patterns. Afternoon wind gusts may occasionally reach 15-25 mph.
Otherwise, winds will be light. Skies will be mostly clear, with
no rain expected.

Note...Additional Fire Weather Forecast information can be found
in the Area Forecast Discussion. See product PHXAFDPSR.
