Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
318 PM MST Mon Jul 21 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Chances for showers and storms will be relegated to eastern
districts through Wednesday with gusty winds and localized minor
flooding impacts the greatest hazard from these storms. With a
moisture increase tonight across eastern districts, minimum
afternoon humidity levels will fall into a 25-40% range, while
western districts remain dry with minimum levels at 15-20%.
Conditions dry out quickly Wednesday, with minimum humidity levels
falling to 10-20% across all districts. Overnight recovery will
be good the next couple nights at 30-60% across all districts.
Other than thunderstorm outflow winds, typical modest afternoon
upslope gustiness will be common. Temperatures will run a few
degrees below normal the next few days.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
