Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
330 AM MST Tue Sep 2 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Increasing moisture levels and cooling temperatures will result in
better chances for wetting rainfall and fire weather conditions
remaining below critical thresholds. Enhanced moisture
availability will lead to MinRHs only falling to between 15-30%
following fair to good overnight recoveries ranging 40-70%. East
winds will prevail through much of Wednesday with some occasional
gustiness. Thunderstorms will be capable of creating strong and
long traveling outflows during the late afternoon/evening with
widespread strong, gusty winds.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
