...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 10
PM PST THIS EVENING FOR BEACHES AND HEADLANDS...

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected
  for beaches and headlands.

* WHERE...South Washington and North and Central Oregon Coast.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 10 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
  especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning for the coastal headlands and beaches means a
hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring in those areas
along the immediate coast. Many of the headland areas and beaches
are vulnerable to very strong wind gusts that may pose a safety
hazard for individuals or high profile vehicles. The strong winds
may also cause property damage. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40
mph or gusts of 58 mph or more are expected in those areas. Coastal
headlands are characterized by high, rocky shores and steep sea
cliffs.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM
PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...Central Willamette Valley, Benton County Lowlands, and
  Linn County Lowlands.

* WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 7 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas in the central Willamette Valley will
  see the highest wind speeds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects such as garbage cans and
other objects that can easily blow around.
