727 FNUS76 KPQR 102234 FWSPQR Spot Forecast for Collins Pile Rx...USFS National Weather Service Portland OR 234 PM PST Mon Feb 10 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1000 PST on February 11. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON PST TUESDAY... ...EXTREME COLD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING... .DISCUSSION...A broad area of high pressure across the region will result in cold and dry conditions through the middle of the week. The high pressure aloft will also result in a thermally induced trough within the Willamette Valley. This will bring easterly winds through the Columbia River Gorge resulting in gusts of 30-40 mph each day. Highest gusts are expected Wednesday afternoon at this time. Overnight, temperatures will fall well below freezing and likely into the mid to upper teens. Be aware that the apparent ("feels like") temperature, as breezy winds will make it feel much colder. Therefore, a Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for tonight into Tuesday and an Extreme Cold Watch has been issued for Tuesday night into Wednesday. .TUESDAY... Sky/weather.........Sunny.
