.DISCUSSION...There have been minimal changes to the forecast
through Saturday with this morning`s update. A weak cold front is
still on track to move over the area this morning from the
north, however it is decaying as it progresses southward and is
producing little to no rain. Will see a transition of winds to the
north in the afternoon with 20 ft wind speeds less than 8 mph.
Atmosphere will experience moderate instability during the day
from the frontal system though convection is not expected. Saturday
will see light upslope diurnallydriven winds in the morning becoming
more predominately west to southwesterly in the afternoon as a more
robust front nears. The initial stages of the front will move over
the Coast Range late Saturday afternoon so cannot rule out some
initial light rain on the leading edge late in the day. More
widespread rain expected Sunday.
