...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Oregon...Washington...

  Luckiamute River near Suver affecting Polk and Benton Counties.

  Cowlitz River at Kelso affecting Cowlitz County.

  Grays River at Covered Bridge near Rosburg affecting Wahkiakum
  County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The next statement will be issued late tonight at 400 AM PST.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Luckiamute River near Suver.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Above 29.0 feet, expect widespread flooding of the
  lowland agricultural lands upstream from Falls City and Maple
  Grove to the confluence with the Willamette River. Also expect
  flooding and possible closure of numerous secondary roads near the
  river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:10 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 28.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:10 PM PST Wednesday was 28.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 28.8 feet late
    this afternoon, then fall to below flood stage Thursday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cowlitz River at Kelso.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...Above 21.5 feet, flooding of several low lying and
  secondary roads begins, including the Cowlitz Gardens
  neighborhood, along with flooding of pasture and lowland upstream
  of Kelso.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 21.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 AM PST Wednesday was 22.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    later this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 21.5 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Grays River at Covered Bridge near Rosburg.

* WHEN...Until late Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Above 32.5 feet, expect major flooding of lowland areas
  and roads in the vicinity of Hwy 4 and Rosburg. Numerous road
  closures are likely, including Covered Bridge Road where the river
  gage is located, Satterlund Road upstream of the gage, and the
  following downstream of the gage: Altoona Piller Rock Road,
  including bridge approaches, Loop Road, and Barr Road. Some homes
  and buildings in low areas near the river are threatened with
  flooding above this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:15 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 32.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 27.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:15 PM PST Wednesday was 32.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage Friday
    afternoon and continue to fall to 26 feet late Monday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 28.5 feet.
