DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Typhoon Bang-lang was
located near Latitude 26.3 degrees North and Longitude
168.6 degrees East. Bang-lang is moving north at 15 mph. It is
expected to make a slight turn toward the north-northwest with a
slight increase in forward speed through Monday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 85 mph. Bang-lang is forecast
to weaken through Monday.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
25 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 85 miles to the east and up to 35 miles to the west.
