DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Higos
was located near Latitude 26.3 degrees North and Longitude 133.9
degrees East and has exited our region. Higos is moving north at
30 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the northeast with an
increase in forward speed through Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 65 mph. Higos is
forecast to maintain this intensity through tonight, then
begins to weaken and become extratropical this weekend.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
60 miles.
