...HEAVY SHOWER AND GUSTY WIND POTENTIALS DIMINISHING AS DISTURBANCES
BECOME WAVES...

The consolidation phases of both 99W and 90W that were indicated by
models, especially the GFS over the last week or so, has nearly
disintegrated as the Near-Equatorial Trough (NET) falls apart. 99W
has exited the region to the northwest, now trekking along the
eastern coasts of Mindanao. Meanwhile, recent satellite imagery
indicates what remains of 90W may just be an open tropical wave that
will make its way across Yap and eventually Palau over the weekend,
bringing periods of heavy rainfall and occasionally strong gusts.
Even so, significant tropical cyclone development while remaining in
Guam`s AOR remains near zero. As such, mudslide potential will
remain minimal at best at Palau over the next several days. After
90W`s exit to the northwest, both Palau and Yap will observe a short
period of patchy showers, followed by another drier cycle in the
first half of next week.

This is the last scheduled statement for 99W and 90W, but residents
and mariners are still urged to keep aware of latest forecasts for
the region at weather.gov/gum/PublicForecasts and for more
information on Invests 99W and 90W, see bulletins issued by the JTWC
under WMO header ABPW10 PGTW.
