Palau Coastal Waters-Yap Coastal Waters-
358 PM ChST Wed Feb 12 2025

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...East winds 15 to 25 kt with occasional gusts up to 30 kt
and seas of 7 to 10 feet.

* WHERE...Palau and Yap Coastal Waters.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sustained winds and gusts are expected to
decrease tonight. The combination of the north and northeast
swells is expected keep seas around 10 feet through Thursday
afternoon. However, the latest altimetry shows seas decreasing to
the north and east of Yap and Palau, which suggest the swells may be
decreasing faster than what current model trends suggest. If this
happens then the advisory could be cancelled early Thursday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.
