Warnings have been discontinued.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides information for people in Saipan and
Tinian.

.Watches/Warnings...
Tropical cyclone watches and warnings are no longer in effect anywhere
across the Marianas and surrounding waters.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 2 AM ChST...the center of Tropical Depression Higos (08W) was
located near latitude 14.9N...longitude 143.4E. This was about
140 miles northwest of Guam. Storm motion was west, 270 degrees,
at 12 mph. Storm intensity was 35 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
The threat of damaging winds has ended for the Marianas. Saipan and
Tinian, still recovering from the previous Typhoon Sinlaku, had their
recovery interrupted and likely took some new minor additional damage
as well.

Listen for any boil water alerts. Watch for downed power lines.
Follow any other instructions from emergency management officials.
