...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 13 feet.

* WHERE...West and north facing reefs of Yap and Palau.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
  localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A building northwest to north swell from a
  shear line north of 10N will produce hazardous surf along west and
  north facing reefs, with the highest surf being found along north
  facing reefs. Seas will remain elevated, maintaining hazardous surf
  through Monday night. Surf will drop below hazardous levels along
  west facing reefs firs as the primary swell becomes more due
  north.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
