...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CHST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Palau and Yap.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM ChST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A combination of building trade-wind
swell, long-period north swell, and elevated wind waves are
producing hazardous surf along north facing reefs of Palau and
Yap. Hazardous surf may persist later into the weekend, so the
High Surf Advisory may be extended if conditions warrant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
