DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Typhoon Saudel was
located near Latitude 25.2 degrees North and Longitude
132.9 degrees East. Saudel is moving west-northwest at 14 mph. It
is expected to maintain this general course and speed through
Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 115 mph. Saudel is
forecast to weaken through Wednesday, passing near Okinawa
Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning as a category 2 typhoon.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
90 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 205 miles.
