WATCHES AND WARNINGS
--------------------
A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Alamagan, Pagan and Agrihan in
the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. A Typhoon Warning
means that typhoon force winds of 74 mph or more are imminent or
occurring.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Typhoon Saudel was located
near Latitude 20.0 degrees North and Longitude 144.2 degrees East.
Saudel is moving northwest at 16 mph. It is expected to turn slightly
toward the west-northwest with little change in forward speed through
Monday. This general forecast track will take Saudel away from the
Marianas.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 120 mph. Saudel is
forecast to intensify through Monday.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 45 miles.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
160 miles.

An intermediate advisory will be issued by the National Weather
Service at 500 AM ChST followed by the next scheduled advisory at
800 AM ChST.
