...TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 92W CONTINUES TO BRINGS HEAVIER SHOWERS AND
GUSTY WINDS TO POHNPEI AND KOSRAE...

Invest 92W has steadily organized today and is now subject to the
Joint Typhoon Warning Center`s Tropical Cyclone Formation Alert.
Invest 92W is currently located near 8N155E or 180 miles east of
Chuuk. Invest 92W is drifting westward at less than 5 mph. Numerous
to widespread showers and isolated to scattered thunderstorms are
seen along the southern semicircle of 92W. A lull is currently in
place across Pohnpei and Kosrae with light showers are present. As
Invest 92W intensifies and lifts northward, the monsoonal tail will
set up across Kosrae and Pohnpei. This will keep heavy rainfall and
potential mudslide concerns at Pohnpei and Kosrae, with occasional to
frequent wind gusts to 35 mph possible through Thursday. A Small
Craft Advisory is in effect for Pohnpei from 3 AM Wednesday morning
until 3 PM Thursday.

Additional rainfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches are possible through
the week. These rainfall amounts could result in more flooding and
potential mudslides. Residents of Kosrae and Pohnpei should monitor
local forecasts and heed advice of emergency managers when heavy
rainfall occurs.
