Alamagan.

A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions,
including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are expected or occurring.

near latitude 18.3N...longitude 144.3E, about 95 miles west of
Pagan, 240 miles north-northwest of Saipan. Storm motion was east-
northeast at 5 mph. Maximum sustained winds remain at 60 mph.

Damaging winds are either imminent or already occurring.

.NEXT UPDATE...
The next local statement will be issued at 3 AM ChST, or sooner if
conditions warrant.

...AGRIHAN...

...A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT...

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain in a suitable hardened shelter, ideally a concrete structure
or cave. Sufficient food and water for each person for a day or two
should be available, because a monsoon surge is likely to continue
for a while after Tropical Storm Krosa has passed.

.WIND INFORMATION...
The latest forecast track shows Krosa turning generally north-
northeastward, passing to the west of Maug early Sunday morning,
then turning slightly towards the north through Sunday night. Latest
forecast projections show southerly tropical storm winds of 40 to 50
mph are imminent or occurring at Agrihan and will increase to 50 to
60 mph through early Sunday morning. Winds will gradually shift from
south to southwest tonight as Krosa passes northwest of the islands,
then remain out of the southwest as wind speeds begin to diminish
near the islands Sunday. Widespread locally heavy showers and
thunderstorms will bring frequent stronger gusts. After the passage
of TS Krosa, a strong southwest monsoon pattern will prolong windy
conditions through Monday.

.COASTAL INUNDATION AND SURF INFORMATION...
Dangerous surf along south and west facing reefs will continue to
rise, with surf heights expected between 15 and 20 ft tonight. Surf
will begin to subside Sunday, possibly falling below dangerous levels
by Sunday night. Surf along south and west facing reefs will likely
remain at hazardous levels of 10 to 14 feet into Monday. Rip
currents during this time will be strong and life threatening. Stay
out of the water. Wind and wave-driven coastal inundation of 3 to 5
ft will be likely along windward shores, especially around times of
high tide as surf reaches peak heights through Sunday.

.OTHER STORM EFFECTS...
Widespread locally heavy showers will continue through Sunday as TS
Krosa passes to the west, with the bulk of rainfall expected through
Sunday morning with 6 to 10 inches possible. Additional rainfall
accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible through Monday. Even
after Krosa begins to move away Sunday and Monday, a wet monsoon
pattern will prolong showers across the islands.
