...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON
TO 3 PM CHST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 11 feet.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Pohnpei.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 3 PM ChST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A large, long-period north swell will move
  into Pohnpei this evening, causing surf to become hazardous
  along north facing reefs. With the full moon around Friday, high
  tides will be higher than normal which may result in some minor
  wave splash up in low-lying areas of northern shores.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
