.Short term...
TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT...Ridge remains south southwest of
the islands. Satellite shows a shortwave trough to the east of
Manu`a. This weather feature will pass north of the islands
tonight and Wednesday. A low level convergence will develop over
the islands on Wednesday night with the high pressure to the
southwest. Trades will increase to breezy flow on Thursday as the
pressure gradient deepens between the high pressure and trough up
north. A shortwave trough from the east will shift winds on
Thursday night to the east.

.Long term...
FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...Numerous showers will continue on Friday
morning before it passes southwest in the afternoon. Winds will
also shift to the northeast. Another low level instability
feature will pass over the islands and again increase showers on
Saturday. A strong high pressure to the southeast will build winds
to breezy trades on Sunday night and persist through Tuesday.
Scattered showers will remain over the islands from Saturday night
through Tuesday.

.Marine...
Seas of 6 to 8 feet will subside 5 to 7 feet tonight as south
swells pass the islands. Another set of southern swells will again
elevate seas 6 to 8 feet on Wednesday night and Thursday. With
breezy winds over the islands, rough seas will persist through
Thursday night. As winds diminish on Friday, seas will also
subside 5 to 7 feet through Sunday. Breezy winds are expected to
return on Sunday night and this will again elevate seas 7 to 9
feet to the beginning of the new week.
