762 FXZS60 NSTU 110100 AFDPPG Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Pago Pago AS 200 PM SST Mon Nov 10 2025 .DISCUSSION... The bulk of the trough responsible for the widespread showers from yesterday has shifted east-southeast. However, remnants of the trough just north-northwest of the islands continues to produce showers on parts of the territory, as it migrates east-southeast. Dry pockets shown on the upper air observations (RAOB) atmospheric profile from this afternoon (11/00Z) indicates improving conditions across the area with decreasing moisture content. Model data is showing the trough lingering in the area as it oscillates north and south while it weakens and strengthens from time to time. As light winds are expected to prevail throughout the week, the chance for air to remain stagnant and clouds to build over the mountains is high. Thus, expect isolated to scattered showers with light winds for the rest of the forecast period. There is a low to no risk of any tropical system to develop or move into our area of responsibility within the next 7 days. && .Marine... No significant swell is expected for this forecast period as ocean conditions remain favorable throughout the week. Light winds with seas around 4 to 6 feet will likely remain over the area through at least Saturday. However, long periods from the northwest are expected to reach shorelines on late Thursday through the end of the week. With long periods, surfs are likely enhanced as they reach shorelines, and rip currents are intensified. The risk of rip currents will be low to moderate for this time frame. && .PPG WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... Flood Watch cancelled && $$ JTAllen
