Latest satellite data shows fair weather over the region as dry
and stable air moves in from the east. East to southeast winds of
15 to 20 mph will continue to usher in these stable conditions as
a mid-level high pressure system remains anchored through midweek.
Expect isolated to scattered showers for this timeframe,
especially as Total Precipitable Water (TPW) trends show a drier
than normal pattern.

Another high pressure system building near New Zealand will
continue these sustain this breezy pattern through Friday.
However, by late Friday morning, a weak trough to the northeast
is expected to move over the territory, bringing an increase in
showers. While periods of heavy rainfall are possible at times,
the trough appears disorganized, so the overall potential for
flash flooding this weekend remains low.

Observations from the PacIOOS buoys indicate seas of 7 to 8 feet,
driven by breezy winds. Rough ocean conditions are expected to
continue through the week, and the Small Craft Advisory will
likely remain in effect unity winds ease by Friday.
