968 FXZS60 NSTU 110115 AFDPPG Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Pago Pago AS 215 PM SST Fri Oct 10 2025 .Short term... TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...High pressure to the southwest will continue to hold breezy trades and scattered showers tonight and Saturday. A low level convergence will develop south of the islands on Saturday and expected to bring increasing showers on Saturday night through Sunday night. RAOB from this afternoon depicts a strong trade up to 925 mb and stable conditions. Winds will slightly diminish to breezy flow on Saturday night. .Long term... MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...The aforementioned high pressure will migrate southeast of the islands on Tuesday. This will shift trades to east flow and persist through Wednesday. As the high pressure continue farther south southeast and away from the territory, winds will diminish to gentle flow on Wednesday night. Another high pressure to the southwest will again increase winds and shift the flow to the southeast on Friday. Models are now developing an active trough north of the territory and the Samoan islands late on the weekend. Will monitor the development of this trough in the next few days. && .Marine...
