TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT...Satellite shows Scattered tradewind showers passing across the islands. North of Swains sits a low level convergences with showers embedded within. A strong high pressure to the far southwest will continue to hold strong tradewinds tonight through Monday night. A weak trough will develop south of the islands on Tuesday and this will slightly diminish winds to breezy flow through Tuesday night. Showers will remain at scattered with the strong trades. As the winds slightly diminish, showers will decrease to isolated on Tuesday. .Long term... WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...The weak trough to the south will dissipate and trades will again increase across the islands on Wednesday night. Showers are expected to also increase to numerous through Friday night. As the high pressure continues farther east, trades will finally diminish to breezy flow on Saturday before shifting to gentle east flow on Sunday. Showers are expected to remain at scattered after Friday night. && .Marine... Aunuu buoy shows seas of 8 to 10 feet. No significant swells are expected to pass across the islands through Friday. Wind generated seas of 8 to 10 feet will slightly subside 7 to 9 feet on Monday. As trades diminish, seas will also subside 6 to 8 feet on Tuesday through Wednesday.
