...BIG PATTERN CHANGE INCOMING NEXT WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...
Our ongoing hot and dry weather pattern will continue to dominate
today with critically low minimum afternoon relative humidity,
but very light winds precluding Red Flag conditions. Sunday will
mark a day of transition over the fire as a significant push of
monsoon moisture to our south just barely starts to penetrate
into the southern highlands. By Sunday afternoon, expect
increasing clouds, increasing humidity, and a few isolated showers
and thunderstorms in the area (which could still manage to pose
primary risks of lightning and gusty winds with not much rainfall
as the environment will still be moistening). Starting Monday,
however, that push of monsoon moisture will surge into the region
resulting in high humidity, increased cloud cover, cooler
temperatures, and daily chances of scattered to widespread showers
and thunderstorms throughout the entire upcoming week. Winds are
expected to remain light over the next several days.
