.DISCUSSION...
Under the increasing influence of high pressure today, hot and
dry conditions are expected with afternoon RHs in the single
digits/teens with wind gusts up to around 25 mph, supporting near
critical to critical fire weather conditions. A weak shortwave
trough Wednesday will support a 5-15% chance of isolated showers
and virga through the day with isolated dry thunderstorms in the
afternoon. Little to no precipitation is expected, however gusty
winds will be possible near any activity. Dry conditions will
return for Thursday and Friday ahead of a push of monsoonal
moisture building in this weekend which will support shower and
thunderstorm chances back for early next week.
