* Central Idaho Dispatch Area weather impact summary (Zones 475
and 476)...
Unseasonably cool conditions will prevail through the weekend as
high pressure is displaced by incoming Pacific Northwest troughing.
Expect daily shower and isolated thunderstorm activity today and
Saturday, with daytime highs holding in the 60s and 70s. Total
precipitation through Sunday will average around 0.10" across the
mountain zones. Relative humidity recoveries will remain excellent
through early next week as cool daytime temperatures persist.
* East Idaho Dispatch Area weather impact summary (Zones 410...411
and 413)...
Widespread wetting rains and embedded thunderstorms will impact the
district through Saturday. High country zones in 411 and 413 can
expect liquid accumulations between 0.50" and 1.00", with 0.25" to
0.50" forecast across the Snake Plain in Zone 410. Saturday carries
a Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms from Pocatello southward
through Zone 413, where supercell development could generate severe
outflow winds exceeding 55 mph. Showers diminish on Sunday, followed
by cool, fall-like conditions with valley lows in the 40s next week.

Pacific moisture and cloud cover will keep maximum temperatures in
the 70s through Saturday. The main fire weather hazard will be
organized thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon and evening, with a
Slight Risk for severe downburst winds extending across the South
Hills and southern portions of Zones 425 and 427. Wetting rains
will accompany most convective cells. A drying trend begins Sunday,
leading into a stable, cool early-September regime with daytime highs
in the upper 70s next week.
