05/16/2025 Sussex DE NWS Storm Survey
Delayed report...An EF-1 Tornado began
south-southeast of Rhodesdale in Dorchester
County, Maryland before crossing into Sussex
County, Delaware, approximately 4 miles west
of Bethel. Tree damage was noted in Phillips
Landing Park where a tree was snapped and
twisted. Additional trees were damaged as
the tornado continued to move to the
east-southeast with discontinuous
circulations before dissipating
approximately 1 mile south of Bethel.
