...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL WASCO COUNTY
THROUGH 830 PM PDT...
At 744 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Pine Grove, or 15 miles southeast of Government
Camp, moving north at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Wamic and Pine Grove.
This includes Highway 26 between mile markers 71 and 79.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
