.DISCUSSION...Critically dry and windy conditions will continue
across Central Oregon and extend north across the Lower Columbia
Basin, Gorge, and the Yakima/Kittitas Valleys Wednesday associated
with an incoming shortwave. A pressure gradient will develop by
late Wednesday morning along the Cascades, promoting elevated
winds that will align with hot and dry conditions associated with
the lingering high pressure ridge. A Wind Advisory will also be
active Wednesday afternoon across the Kittitas Valley as gusts of
up to 50 mph will be possible.
