.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions with light winds will
develop today and continue through the middle of the week as high
pressure builds over the region. Monsoonal moisture filtering into
Oregon will also bring a potential for isolated thunderstorms to
develop over the mountainous terrain central and northeast Oregon
through at least Wednesday. However, uncertainty remains in
regards to timing, extent, and strength of storms due to
inconsistency amongst forecast model guidance.
