Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
238 PM PDT Sat Oct 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...Cooler and less dry conditions continue today with a
weak system moving to the east. Periodic light rain (<0.10") this
afternoon and evening are expected across the Cascade crest, Blue
Mountains, John Day Highlands, and higher elevations in Wallowa
county. A weak pressure gradient will develop along the Cascades to
bring breezy winds through the Eastern Gorge and Kittitas Valley
this afternoon/evening with gusts up to 30 mph possible (50-70%
chance) out of the west/northwest. Overnight relative humidity
recoveries will be 55-95% in next week.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
