Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
124 PM PDT Sat Jun 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions will prevail across the
region through Tuesday as strong high pressure moves in over the
Pacific Northwest. Once this high pressure breaks down on
Tuesday, a more active weather pattern will move in, leading to
isolated dry thunderstorm chances across mainly the mountains of
central and eastern Oregon during the daytime hours Tuesday and
Wednesday. A cooler pattern is then expected to prevail starting
next weekend.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
