Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
127 PM PDT Thu Jul 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...Locally breezy with low relative humidity in the
Eastern Columbia Gorge, Kittitas Valley, and portions of the
Columbia Basin today; conditions may locally meet Red Flag
criteria. Tonight through Friday, a weather system will usher in
widespread precipitation chances; a chance of thunderstorms is
forecast for central Oregon and the Blue Mountains. Thunderstorms
will be mostly dry this afternoon and evening, but are expected
to be mostly wet tonight and Friday.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
