Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
656 AM PDT Sun Jun 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...Temperatures will warm region-wide early this week,
peaking Monday and Tuesday. Minimum RHs will be low (teens and
twenties) with generally moderate to good overnight recovery.
Aside from low (15-30 percent) shower and thunderstorm chances
each afternoon and evening Monday through Thursday over portions
of central Oregon and the Blue Mountains, predominantly dry
conditions are forecast. A return of breezy to windy westerly
winds through the Cascade gaps is anticipated late Tuesday through
Friday.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
