Hydrologic Statement
National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA
1033 AM EDT Wed Sep 16 2026

Past 24 hour precipitation...
Outside of less than 0.10 inches of rain from showers this morning
in northwestern Pennsylvania, no precipitation was recorded in the
last 24 hours.

Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours...
Basin average rainfall is forecast to range from 0.25 inches to 1
inch with the higher end range favoring eastern Ohio. Heavy rain
from slow moving thunderstorms could result in localized areas
that receive amounts from 1 inch to as much as 4 inches.

River trends...
Area rivers and streams will see small fluctuations that are
generally less than 1 foot in rises or falls over the next 48
hours. However, thunderstorms producing locally heavy rain could
result in brief but sudden rises not captured in the current
suite of forecasts. Additionally, more rain is favored over the
weekend into next week that may cause widespread rises to river
heights not captured in current long range forecasts.
