Hydrologic Statement
National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA
1027 AM EDT Sat Apr 26 2025

Past 24 hour precipitation...
Area basin averages indicated 0.25 to 1 inch of rain fell over the
past 48 hours. Localized swath of 1.25 to 2 inches were observed
over western Pennsylvania as well, with a maximum approaching 3

Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours...
Basin average rainfall is forecast to range from a trace to 0.25
inches, with most of the accumulation occurring in the Upper
Monongahela River basin this morning.

River trends...
Rivers and streams in the Allegheny River basin are expected to
crest within the next 24 hours as many locations see 2 to 6 foot
rises, though remaining below action stages.

The rest of the area rivers and streams are likely to crest
closer to the 24 to 48 hour window, with rises as low as 0.5
feet and as high as 6 feet.

Area rivers and streams that see the largest crests will see
similar height falls after the 48 hour period as dry weather
develops in the region.
