Majority of the region observed 0.10- 0.25 inches of liquid precipitation with localized areas of 0.25- 0.50 inches in northern West Virginia and southwestern Pennsylvania. Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours... Basin average rainfall and/or liquid equivalent of snow is forecast to range from 0.10 to 2.0 inches. Majority of the region will observe about 0.10-0.50 inches of liquid equivalent precipitation. Areas to the west of the Appalachians will see up 0.5-2.0 inches liquid equivalent precipitation with the higher amounts along the ridges. Due to some expected lake effect showers, some areas in eastern Ohio may observe liquid equivalent precipitation up to 0.75 inches. River trends... Following this current system, levels on some of the rivers look to rise. Points along the Monongahela River (Point Marion, Grays Landing, Maxwell, and Charleroi) look to rise about 1- 2 feet over the weekend. Over the weekend, the Cheat River will rise about 1-2 feet near Parsons, Rowlesburg, and Albright. The Youghiogheny River will observe up to a 3 foot rise peaking on Sunday and lowering on Monday. Conemaugh River will see about a 1 foot rise this weekend. This text product /PITRVSPBZ/ will be issued routinely in the morning, and on an as needed basis in the evening.
