********* PITTSBURGH MONTHLY SUMMARY **********

The Pittsburgh PA climate summary for the month of July, 2025. The
maximum temperature for the period was 92.  The record maximum
temperature is 103 degrees which was last set in 1988.  The minimum
temperature for the period was 58.  The record minimum temperature
is 42 degrees which was set in 1963.  The average temperature was
77.0 degrees which is 3.8 degrees above the normal average
temperature of 73.2 degrees.  The maximum temperature exceeded 90
degrees on 8 days this period.  The minimum temperature did not fall
below 32 degrees.  A total of 2.27 inches of precipitation fell
during the period which is 1.99 inches below the normal amount of
4.26.  No snow fell during the period which is normal.  There were
no heating degree days this period which is 3 below the normal
amount of 3 days.  There were 381 cooling degree days this period
which is 125 above the normal amount of 256 days.  The maximum wind
was 30 miles per hour from the northwest and occurred on July 26.
The maximum wind gust was 40 miles per hour from the southwest and
occurred on July 16.
