.Discussion...
Scattered to numerous rain showers, heavy at times, are expected
through tonight before shifting east of the region ahead of an
advancing cold front.
Dry, cooler air will filter in behind the front Wednesday and drop
area temperature near seasonal averages while afternoon winds gust
between 20 to 30 mph out of the north. The cooler air mass will be
in place by Thursday, causing temperature to be about 5 degrees
below the daily average. Additional mixing of drier air Thursday
will further drop minimum humidities into the 30s and lower 40s as
wind veers toward an easterly direction.
High pressure and height rises into the weekend will maintain dry
weather while fostering gradually rising temperature.
