The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Preston County in northeastern West Virginia...
  Northwestern Tucker County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 849 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2
  inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
  occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Rowlesburg, Hannahsville, Saint George, Pifer Moutain, Aurora,
  Cathedral State Park and Elgon.

Tucker County 911 Dispatch reported water over the roadway along
parts of Cheat Valley Highway in northwestern Tucker County.

Floodwaters will take time to recede even after heavy rain ends.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
