WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
ISSUED BY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE QUAD CITIES IA IL
334 PM CDT THU APR 3 2025

A MARKEDLY WET PERIOD WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND OVER THE
QUAD STATE REGION, WITH WAVES OF RAINFALL PERIODICALLY HEAVY WITH
THUNDERSTORMS. TOTAL ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM TONIGHT
THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN FIVE AND TEN
INCHES IN THE REGION. THIS ON TOP OF THE ALREADY WET GROUND AND
ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS WILL CAUSE A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS FLOODING
SITUATION WITH A HIGH FLASH FLOOD RISK AND MOST IF NOT ALL AREA
RIVERS REACHING FLOOD STAGE. THERE WILL ALSO BE SEVERE WEATHER
RISKS AS TIMES AND HOW MUCH OF A MAGNITUDE OF SEVERE RISK WILL
DEPEND ON SEVERAL FACTORS.

TEMPERATURES WILL NOT VARY MUCH WITH THE CLOUDS AND RAIN THROUGH
SATURDAY. THEN COOLER TEMPERATURES WITH BELOW NORMAL CONDITIONS
AND AT LEAST TEMPORARY DRYING WILL BE IN PLACE EARLY NEXT WEEK.
