The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Christian County in south central Kentucky...
  Todd County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 1015 PM CDT.

* At 934 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 8 miles southeast of Crofton to 7 miles northeast of
  Big Rock, moving east at 55 mph.

  THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR EASTERN CHRISTIAN AND TODD COUNTY!

  HAZARD...90 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris
           may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile
           homes will be heavily damaged or destroyed. Homes and
           businesses will have substantial roof and window damage.
           Expect extensive tree damage and power outages.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near...
  Oak Grove, Fort Campbell, Clarksville, and Pembroke around 940 PM
  CDT.
  Elkton around 945 PM CDT.
  Guthrie around 955 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Trenton, Lafayette, Allensville, Clifty, Herndon, and Allegre.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 24 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 77 and 92.
 Pennyrile Parkway between Mile Markers 1 and 15.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION with tornado like wind
speeds expected. Mobile homes and high profile vehicles are
especially susceptible to winds of this magnitude and may be
overturned. For your protection move to an interior room on the
lowest floor of a building. These storms have the potential to cause
serious injury and significant property damage.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for south central
Kentucky.
