...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CALLOWAY...SOUTHERN
LIVINGSTON...MARSHALL...SOUTHEASTERN MCCRACKEN AND GRAVES COUNTIES
THROUGH 500 AM CDT...

At 359 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sedalia, or 7 miles southeast of Mayfield, moving northeast at 30
mph. More heavy rain and thunderstorms will come in behind that in
another line of storms, so repeat heavy rains will lead to more
flooding.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lowes, Fancy Farm, Kirksey, Murray, Hazel, Ledbetter, Reidland,
Aurora, Smithland, Lynnville, Sedalia, Paducah, Hardin, Harris Grove,
Wingo, New Concord, Benton, Mayfield, Water Valley, and Brewers.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 24 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 5 and 33.
 Interstate 69 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 9 and 51.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
